Repiping & Piping Systems in the South Bay
Pinholes, low pressure everywhere, or a slab leak conversation — request an estimate and we’ll talk materials and access.

Repiping is for supply piping that has reached the end of local repairs: repeated pinholes, galvanized that cannot deliver pressure, polybutylene-era concerns, or a slab leak that makes opening the same hallway twice a bad plan. Schulze Plumbing Inc. replaces hot and cold piping in copper, PEX, or mixed systems depending on the building and the approved scope.
Coastal houses may show green copper pitting and failed hose-bib tees. Inland slabs hide the leak until a warm floor or a high water bill appears. Commercial suites sometimes need a dedicated water service so one tenant’s restaurant package does not starve the restrooms next door.
This category is water piping — not sewer replacement. Whole-house, copper, PEX, underground, under-slab, mains, and dedicated services each have their own page so search intent is not dumped into one generic “repipe” block.
Who this is for
- Homes with repeated supply leaks or chronically low pressure
- Owners choosing copper vs PEX after a slab leak
- Projects replacing the underground water service from the meter
- Commercial spaces that need their own water piping or dedicated service
Common symptoms
- Multiple leaks in a few years, especially on the same material
- Rusty or discolored water that is not a water-heater anode issue
- A slab leak detection report pointing to under-floor supply
- A meter that moves when all fixtures are off
What this work involves
- Mapping existing hot/cold routes and shutoffs
- Selecting materials for the building type and access (attic, crawl, walls, slab)
- Replacing mains, branches, or the whole house as approved
- Restoring fixtures and testing; patch/paint may be a separate trade unless included

Repiping & Piping Systems services
Whole-House Repiping
Replace the home’s hot and cold supply piping as a planned project, not another pinhole patch.
Copper Repiping
Repipe with copper when that is the approved material for the building.
PEX Repiping
Repipe with PEX where the building, access, and approved scope call for it.
Water Line Replacement
Replace a specific water line — branch, hose bib run, or failed section — without a full-house project.
Hot- and Cold-Water Piping
New or replaced parallel hot and cold supplies for a room, addition, or building section.
Underground Water Lines
Buried potable water piping in yards: services, yard lines, and remote building feeds.
Under-Slab Water Line Replacement
Replace leaking supply piping in or under a slab — open the slab or reroute around it.
Main Water Service Replacement
Replace the private water service from the meter toward the building.
Dedicated Water Services
A separate water service or dedicated feed for an ADU, tenant, or piece of equipment.
Commercial Water Piping
Domestic water piping inside commercial buildings: risers, branches, and tenant feeds.
Water Main Installation & Repair
The water line from the meter toward the house — leaks, replacements, and new mains.

- After you approve, we schedule the job.
FAQ
- Copper or PEX?
- Both are used in Southern California. Access, fixture count, water chemistry, and how the house is built matter more than a slogan. We discuss options on the estimate rather than publish a one-material rule.
- Will you open my slab?
- Sometimes the approved repair is under-slab replacement. Sometimes we reroute overhead or in walls to avoid the slab. That choice depends on the leak location and the rest of the piping.
- Is a water main the same as a whole-house repipe?
- No. The main is typically meter-to-house. A whole-house repipe is the piping after that. They can be done together; they are estimated as distinct scopes.
